Today we are proud to announce the re-signing of our League of Legends Division for the upcoming 2015 LCS Spring Split and the signing of a exciting new player on the AD Carry position. It has been an off season not quite like any other in the history of the League of Legends Championship Series with more than its fair share of rumors, roster changes and drama. This action involved the Copenhagen Wolves League of Legends Division as well but we are now very happy to announce that everything has fallen into place and we are ready to start the preperations for the upcoming season with the re-signing of four familiar faces.
We are happy to announce that the following players will once again wear yellow, white and black next year:
Joey “Youngbuck” Steltenpool
Karim “Airwaks” Benghalia
Søren “SorenXD” Frederiksen
Petar “Unlimited” Georgiev
Joining them will be one of the most experienced players in Europe and a player that many are excited to see once again apply his skills in the European LCS, we are proud to welcome Aleš “Freeze” Kněžínek as our new AD Carry.
The following statement was issued by the founder of Copenhagen Wolves, Jakob Lund Kristensen:
We are extremely happy to announce the re-signing of our former League of Legends Division and finally be able to set our sights on the 2015 season. We have had quite a turbulent summer, especially seen in the light of last seasons 8th place finish, that left both our management and our players feeling like we could have done a lot of things a lot better. We have worked tiredlessly over the summer to put Copenhagen Wolves in a position to take the next step as an organization and we can’t wait to show all our fans the amazing things that we have in store for you. I can already now say that this announcement is only the first of many exciting ones to come over the next weeks and months!
